Changjiang Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a public ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. The predecessor of the college was Yangtze River Engineering University, founded in 1959, with a history of 50 years. Before 2004, it was under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Water Resources. In June 2004, in accordance with the spirit of the State Council (Guo Ban Fa [2000] No. 11) document, the college was transferred from the Ministry of Water Resources to Hubei Province for management and is one of the 25 universities directly under the Hubei Provincial People's Government.

Wuhan Foreign Language and Foreign Affairs Vocational College was established in 2002 with the approval of the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is the only higher vocational college in the central southern region that specializes in cultivating foreign language and foreign affairs talents, and is a full-time regular university at the specialized level.

Wuhan Industrial Vocational and Technical College is a full-time regular higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. The college was founded in 1975. For more than thirty years, the college has adhered to the school motto of "virtue complements benevolence, learning applies", and adheres to the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, learning applies, and serving society". Wuhan Business Vocational College is a full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. The school is located in the hinterland of "Wuhan · China Optics Valley", adjacent to Foxconn's Wuhan base. It is a modern university that integrates history, humanities, and ecology, is in line with international education, and has a strong cultural atmosphere.

Hubei Vocational College of Science and Technology is a provincial full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered by the Ministry of Education, with the qualification to independently issue academic diplomas. The college is located in Wuhan China Optics Valley Software Park, adjacent to universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Zhongnan University for Nationalities. For more than 20 years, the college has adhered to the principle of vocational colleges as the main body, and has collaborated with universities such as Hubei University, Hubei University of Technology, and Wuhan University of Engineering to hold regular undergraduate programs. It has accumulated rich educational experience and currently has over 7000 regular undergraduate and vocational students.

Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College was established on April 18, 2001, with the approval of the People's Government of Hubei Province, under the background of the country's vigorous development of higher vocational education and the deepening of system reform at Wuhan Iron and Steel Group. It was reorganized by Wuhan Iron and Steel Workers' University and Wuhan Metallurgical Automation Advanced Technical School. In 2007, Hubei Huangshi Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College and Wuhan Iron and Steel First Technical School were merged as a whole, and the "three schools were reorganized" to establish the new Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College. Organized by Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., under the leadership of Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., the business is under the management of the Provincial Department of Education. There are five campuses, namely Honggangcheng Campus, Baiyushan Campus, Jiangbei Campus, Fenghuangshan Campus, and Tieshan Campus, distributed in Qingshan District of Jiangnan, Yangluo Development Zone of Jiangbei, and Huangshi Tieshan District in Wuhan.

Jingzhou Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public regular higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for nationwide enrollment. It has a long history of education and a profound cultural heritage. The college is located in the historical and cultural city of Jingzhou, located in the fertile and beautiful hinterland of the Jianghan Plain. It borders Wuhan to the east, the Three Gorges to the west, and the Yangtze River to the south, with a superior geographical location and convenient transportation.

Huanggang Vocational and Technical College is a comprehensive full-time higher vocational college established in July 1999 with the approval of the Ministry of Education, after the merger of the former National Key Vocational School Huanggang Agricultural School, Provincial and Ministerial Key Vocational School Huanggang Finance and Trade School, and Huanggang Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School. After 60 years of training in vocational education, especially nearly 10 years of practice in vocational education, the college has become an excellent college for evaluating the level of talent cultivation in vocational colleges, a construction unit of demonstrative vocational colleges in Hubei Province, an exemplary organization of vocational education in Hubei Province, and the best civilized unit in Hubei Province. It is a shining pearl of vocational education in the old revolutionary base area of Dabie Mountains. When Premier Wen Jiabao visited Huanggang twice, he inspected the agricultural technology promotion base of the college; Chen Zhili, the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and then Minister of Education, visited the college for inspection and fully affirmed the excellent achievements made by the college in in-service teaching.

Changjiang Vocational College is located in Jiangcheng Wuhan, the thoroughfare of nine provinces, in the hinterland of the "Wuhan · China Optics Valley" new technology development zone. There are numerous universities and research institutes in the surrounding area, with a rich cultural atmosphere and abundant educational resources. Changjiang Vocational College is directly under the leadership of the Education Department of Hubei Province. Based on the establishment of Hubei University of Economics and Management in 1984, it was approved by the Ministry of Education in 1999 and became the first ordinary higher education institution in Hubei to use new mechanisms for education. The school is included in the national unified enrollment plan and is open to enrollment in 28 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions across the country, independently issuing academic diplomas. Currently, there are over 13000 students on campus.

Ezhou Vocational University was founded in 1984 and is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The university has been successively rated as the national excellent college for talent cultivation in higher vocational colleges, the key construction demonstration college in Hubei Province, and the exemplary organization for employment of college graduates in Hubei Province. The school is located in the "hometown of Wuchangyu" in Feisheng and the excellent tourist city of Ezhou City, Hubei Province, China. It is only 38 kilometers away from Wuhan. The school has a beautiful environment, surrounded by mountains and rivers, with lush greenery. It has been rated as a "garden style school" by the People's Government of Hubei Province.

Wuhan Vocational and Technical College

Yunyang Normal College (referred to as Yunyang Normal College) is a provincial-level ordinary university established by the state. Its predecessor was Yunyang Normal School, founded in 1954. It began to establish junior college classes in 1975 and became the Yunyang Branch of Central China Normal University in 1977. In December 1978, Yunyang Normal College was established with the approval of the State Council. In 1993, it was renamed Yunyang Normal College with the approval of the former National Education Commission.
