Hubei Automobile Industry College was founded in 1972 as the Second Automobile Factory Workers' University. In June 1983, it was approved by the State Council to become a full-time regular undergraduate college. It was led by China National Automobile Corporation and Hubei Province, with China National Automobile Corporation as the main leader. Meng Shaonong, a former member of the academic department of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was the first president. In 1985, all undergraduate majors of the school obtained the right to confer bachelor's degrees; In 1994, the school was under the management of the Ministry of Machinery Industry; In 1998, the school management system was jointly established by the central and local governments, with Hubei Province as the main leader, but people, finance, and materials were still managed by Dongfeng Motor Company; In 2001, with the approval of the State Council, the school adopted a plan of "three family support" by the central finance, Hubei provincial finance, and Dongfeng Motor Company, which entered a period of "government enterprise co construction" development. On December 30, 2006, the People's Government of Hubei Province and Dongfeng Motor Company officially signed an agreement, transferring the management of the school to the People's Government of Hubei Province. The development of the school was fully incorporated into the higher education development plan of Hubei Province, and the school entered a new period of development.

Hubei Vocational College of Land and Resources is an ordinary university (higher vocational college) sponsored by the land and resources industry. It mainly trains talents in resource exploration, geological engineering and technology, mining engineering, surveying and mapping, civil construction, and engineering management, and also trains talents in mechanical design and manufacturing, automation, electronic information, computer, financial accounting, economic and trade, marketing, and art, It has distinct characteristics of industry education. Chuzhou Vocational and Technical College is located at the foot of the beautiful Langya Mountain and beside the Zuiweng Pavilion, within the urban area of Chuzhou City. It is a full-time regular higher education institution under the jurisdiction of the city. The college was established in June 2000 with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People's Government by merging six schools, including Chuzhou Construction Engineering School, Chuzhou Technical School, and Municipal Finance and Taxation School, Municipal Grain School, Municipal Supply and Marketing School, and Municipal Commercial School. All six schools have a history of over 20 years. Among them, Chuzhou Construction Engineering School and Chuzhou Technical School are provincial-level key vocational schools and provincial-level key technical schools, respectively. After 2 years of preparation, the college was officially established in June 2002 with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People's Government. Anhui Finance and Trade Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Anhui Provincial People's Government in June 2004. Its predecessor was Anhui Finance and Trade College Hefei Vocational College, which was established in 2002. The college was formerly a national key vocational school - Anhui Provincial Trade School, established in 1964.

Huainan Vocational and Technical College is a higher vocational and technical college sponsored by Huainan Mining Group, approved by the People's Government of Anhui Province, and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is formed by the former Huainan Mining Bureau Staff University, Huainan Mining Bureau Staff Medical University, Huainan Mining Bureau Party School, Huainan Coal Sports School, and Huainan Mining Bureau Senior Technical School. In June 1999, the Vocational and Technical College of Huainan Institute of Technology was established in a joint venture with Huainan Institute of Technology (now Anhui University of Technology). On June 18, 2000, in accordance with the approval of Anhui Provincial People's Government's Document No. [2000] 117, Huainan Vocational and Technical College was officially established as an independent school.
