Site Description: Guiyang Medical College was established on March 1, 1938, formerly known as "National Guiyang Medical College", and is one of the earliest nine national higher medical colleges in China under the Ministry of Education. On December 24, 1950, according to unified national regulations, it was renamed as "Guiyang Medical College" and placed under the management of the Guizhou Provincial Government. It is currently a provincial key higher education institution in Guizhou Province and the only medical doctoral degree awarding unit in the province.
