Site Description: Nanjing Medical University is a key university under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province. The school was founded in 1934 and was named Jiangsu Provincial Medical and Political College. It is one of the earliest higher education institutions in China to carry out graduate education. In 1957, it was renamed Nanjing Medical College. In 1962, it was listed as one of the first six year medical colleges in China. In 1981, it was approved as one of the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units in China. In 1993, it was renamed Nanjing Medical University.
