Education and training

Henan Normal University is a provincial key university with a long history of establishment. The school is located in Xinxiang City, a famous city in northern Henan, at the intersection of the Beijing Guangzhou Taihang Railway and the Taihe Railway, with the towering Taihang Mountains to the north and the rolling Yellow River to the south. It is situated on the vast pastoral land and the beautiful shore of Weishui. Its predecessor was Zhongzhou University founded in 1923 and Pingyuan Normal College founded in 1951. After the establishment of New China, due to departmental adjustments, the school was renamed as Henan Normal University Second College, Henan Second Normal University, and Xinxiang Normal University. Henan Normal University was founded in 1985.

Henan University is located in the historic and cultural city of Kaifeng, the ancient capital of the seven dynasties. 100 years ago, this was the location of Henan Gongyuan, where the national examinations were held in 1903 and 1904. The thousand year old imperial examination system came to an end here. The European wind and rain of the early 20th century and the dawn of the victory of the Xinhai Revolution gave birth to this university.

The new Zhengzhou University was formed on July 10, 2000 by merging the former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology, and Henan Medical University. It is a comprehensive university covering 11 disciplines, including science, engineering, medicine, literature, history, philosophy, law, economics, management, education, and agriculture. It is the only national "211 Project" key construction university in Henan Province, and is a university jointly built by the People's Government of Henan Province and the Ministry of Education.

Qinghai Normal University was founded in 1956, initially named Qinghai Normal College, expanded to Qinghai Normal College in 1958, and renamed Qinghai Normal University in 1984. In 1997, after the adjustment of the layout and structure of universities in Qinghai Province, the former Qinghai Normal University merged with the former Qinghai Education College to form the new Qinghai Normal University. From 2000 to 2004, the former Qinghai Ethnic Normal College, the former Qinghai University Water Conservancy Vocational School, and the former Qinghai Bank School were successively merged into Qinghai Normal University.

Qinghai University, formerly known as Qinghai Institute of Technology, was founded in 1958. In November 1960, Qinghai Institute of Technology merged with Qinghai Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College, Qinghai Medical College, and Qinghai University of Finance and Economics to form Qinghai University. During the early stages of the Cultural Revolution, Qinghai University was abolished. In 1971, it was restored to Qinghai Institute of Industry and Agriculture, which includes two major universities: industry and agriculture. In 1988, it was renamed Qinghai University. With the adjustment of the layout and structure of colleges and universities, Qinghai Animal Husbandry and Veterinary College was incorporated in October 1997, Qinghai Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, Qinghai Academy of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, and Qinghai Vocational and Technical College of Finance and Economics were reorganized in January 2001, and Qinghai Medical College was incorporated into the new Qinghai University in 2004.

Gansu Forestry Vocational and Technical College is located in Tianshui City, known as "Longshang Jiangnan". It is the only independent forestry higher vocational college in northwest China, founded in 1956. In order to meet the needs of ecological environment construction in the western region, in July 2001, with the approval of the Gansu Provincial People's Government, Gansu Forestry School, a former national key vocational school, was transformed into a vocational college.

Gansu Radio and Television University

Lanzhou Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1956. Its predecessor was two national key vocational schools directly under the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Chemical Industry (Lanzhou Petroleum School and Lanzhou Chemical School), as well as two employee universities (Lanzhou Refining and Chemical University and Lanzhou Chemical Industry Company) of the former Lanzhou Refining and Chemical General Factory and Lanzhou Chemical Industry Company. In 1999, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was restructured as Lanzhou Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College, becoming the first independent higher vocational and technical college in Gansu Province. In 2000, the college was transferred from Sinopec Group to Gansu Province for management. In December 2002, the college was designated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as a national key demonstration higher vocational and technical college. In 2004, the college was designated by the Ministry of Education as two national scarce skilled talent training bases, namely the CNC Technology Application Major and the Computer Application and Software Technology Major. In September 2005, the college passed the talent cultivation level evaluation organized by the Provincial Department of Education, becoming the first outstanding vocational college in Gansu Province. At the same time, it also successfully passed the ISO9001:2000 international quality management system certification. In 2006, the college was designated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as one of the first batch of demonstration higher vocational colleges under national key construction.

Lanzhou Vocational and Technical College is a regular higher education institution under the Lanzhou Municipal Government. At present, it covers an area of 321 acres, with 4812 students on campus, 289 full-time teachers, 6 departments and 40 majors. The total value of teaching, training and experimental equipment is over 40 million yuan. Its predecessor was Lanzhou 35th Middle School established in 1975, which was restructured as Lanzhou Vocational and Technical School in 1984. In 1998 and 1999, it merged with Lanzhou Engineering Vocational School and Lanzhou 17th Middle School, and was upgraded to a regular higher vocational college in 2001.

Tianshui Normal University

Northwest Normal University is a key university jointly built by the People's Government of Gansu Province and the Ministry of Education, and one of the fourteen universities in the western region supported by the state. Its predecessor was National Beiping Normal University, which originated from the Beijing Normal University Normal University established in 1902. After the July 7th Incident in 1937, Beiping Normal University, along with the National Beiping University and Beiyang Institute of Technology, jointly formed the Northwest Associated University. The National Beiping Normal University was reorganized as a teacher's college under the Northwest Associated University. In 1939, Normal College was established independently and renamed as National Northwest Normal College. In 1941, it moved to Lanzhou. Before 1958, the school was one of the six key normal universities directly under the Ministry of Education in China. In 1958, it was under the leadership of Gansu Province and renamed Gansu Normal University. In 1981, it was renamed Northwest Normal University. In 1988, it was renamed Northwest Normal University. In 1985, the Ministry of Education established the "Northwest Ethnic Minority Teacher Training Center" directly under the Ministry of Education and established by higher education institutions, and implemented a management system of "two brands and one team" with the school. In 1987, the State Council established the "Tibetan Teacher Training Center" in schools.

Lanzhou University is a national key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, and one of the key universities under the "Project 985" and "211 Project". Lanzhou University was founded in 1909, with a campus area of 3828 acres, 8 campuses, and 3 affiliated hospitals. Lanzhou University has distinct disciplinary characteristics and a complete range of disciplines, covering all 11 disciplines except military science.
